Sponsorship of the 2019 awards

CLFDA 2019 was the first year JMP sponsored a category at the Cotswold Life Awards. They chose these awards in particular because they are passionate about the Cotswolds and the food and drink industry. It coincided with the creation of their own bespoke insurance product for cookery schools. In 2019 they launched a product specifically for Cookery Schools. They found that there was a severe lack of understanding in insurance to the needs of these businesses. You can read more about why they launched this product and what they offer cookery schools here.

The three finalists last year were Charles Smith at Lords of the Manor, Jon Howe at Lumiere and Niall Keating at Whatley Manor Hotel.

Charles Smith walked away with the award on the night and Colin Jones had the pleasure in presenting the award to him.

“When we decided to sponsor the Chef of the Year award in 2019, we had no idea how difficult it would be to select a winner. All nominees are excellent in their field. Their attention to detail and support of local producers was superb. Presenting the award to Charles Smith was a pleasure. The standard was so high that all three chefs could have won. I am really looking forward to judging and presenting the award again this year.” – Colin Jones, Business Development Manager

“Sponsoring CLFDA last year was one of the best things we have ever done. We met some extraordinarily talented people and choosing a winner from the three finalists was an incredibly hard job. We are excited to be involved again this year. To celebrate the very best of the Cotswold food and drink industry.” – John Phillips, Managing Director
